Peer Review of Project

Upon completion, all grants awarded by the EPSRC are assessed by independent peer review. The EPSRC assigns two experts who independently review the grants on the basis of a detailed report written by the investigators together with al other forms of output. The subject panel, informed by the reviewers' reports and the grant outputs, then rates the quality of the work. The reviewers and the panel assess the grant under the following headings:

and then provide an overall assessment on a five-point rating scale from Unsatisfactory to Outstanding.
