School policy for after hours work in the Laboratories or Workshop

Hours of work in the Laboratories will be 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday - Friday, excluding public holidays.

No-one should work alone in any Laboratory or Workshop after hours. (No exceptions)

If after hours work is deemed to be necessary the following procedure should be followed:

• Ensure that at least one other person is present in the Laboratory or Workshop after hours;
• Students should notify the Laboratory Manager that they intend to work out of hours;
• Students should obtain approval from the Head of School or nominee;
• Students should notify Security, on Extension 35990, before they enter the Laboratories or Workshop after hours.
