The Award of the Institution of Engineers, Australia
The University has accepted the offer of the Institution of Engineers, Australia
to provide an annual award of $200 for students enrolled in the degree of Bachelor
of Engineering and the following rules are hereby made:
- The award shall be known as "The Award of the Institution of Engineers,
Australia".
- The award shall be open to students enrolled in Level IV of a program for
the degree of Bachelor of Engineering.
- The Head of each Engineering School may, with the consent of the nominee in
each case, recommend for the award up to two candidates, chosen on the basis of
academic excellence and qualities of character and leadership.
- A candidate may be recommended for the award, after consultation with the
President of the Institution of Engineers, Australia (S.A. Div.), or the President's
nominee.
- The award shall not be made if, in the opinion of the Faculty of Engineering,
Computer & Mathematical Sciences, there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
Note: The Institution of Engineers, Australia will, in addition, present "The
Arvi Parbo Medal" to the successful candidate.
Amendment to rules subject to approval of the Faculty of Engineering, Computer
& Mathematical Sciences, in association with the Institution of Engineers,
Australia.
