The Coffey Prize in Geotechnical Engineering
Whereas Coffey Geosciences Pty. Ltd. has agreed to provide an annual prize
in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the following rules are
hereby made:
- The Prize shall be called "The Coffey Prize in Geotechnical Engineering".
- The value of the Prize shall be $300, or such other amount as shall be determined
in association with Coffey Geosciences Pty. Ltd.
- The Prize shall be awarded annually to the student in Level III of the Civil
or Civil and Environmental Engineering program for the degree of the Bachelor
of Engineering who distinguishes himself or herself in both the theoretical and
practical components of the course C&ENVENG 3012 Geotechnical Engineering
Design III.
- No award shall be made if, there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
- If, in any year, two or more candidates are of equal merit, the prize shall
be shared equally.
- These rules may be varied from time to time by agreement between Coffey Geosciences
Pty. Ltd. and the Faculty of Engineering, Computer & Mathematical Sciences.
