The Exxon Mobil Award of Excellence
Whereas Mobil Oil Australia has agreed to provide an annual prize in the School of Civil, Environmental and Mining Engineering, the following rules are hereby made:
- The prize shall be called "The Exxon Mobil Award of Excellence Prize"
and shall be available for award each year.
- The prize shall be of the value of $500 per annum, or such amount as
shall be determined in association with Mobil Oil Australia.
- The prize shall be awarded annually on the recommendation of the
Head of the School of Civil, Environmental & Mining Engineering to the
student who obtains the best result in the assessment within the
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil & Structural) or Bachelor of Engineering
(Civil & Environmental) based on their academic performance
(weighted average subject mark) over the first semester of their third
year.
- The prize shall be awarded at the end of Semester 1, annually.
- No award shall made if there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
- If, in any year, two or more candidates qualify equally for the prize, the
value of the prize shall be divided equally amongst such candidates.
- The rules of the prize may be varied from time to time by agreement
between Mobil Australia and the Faculty of Engineering, Computer &
Mathematical Sciences.
