The Optimatics Prize in Water Engineering
Optimatics Pty. Ltd. having offered to establish a prize in water engineering
in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the following rules are
hereby made:
- The Prize shall be called "The Optimatics Prize in Water Engineering"
and shall be available for award each year.
- The Prize shall be of the value of $500 per annum, or such amount as shall
be determined in association with Optimatics
Pty. Ltd.
- The Prize shall be awarded annually on the recommendation of the Head of the
School of Civil and Environmental Engineering to the student who obtains the best
results in the Level III courses C&ENVENG 3013 Water Engineering and Design
IIIA and C&ENVENG 3014 Water Engineering and Design IIIB in the Civil Engineering
or Civil & Environmental Engineering program for the degree of Bachelor of
Engineering.
- No award shall be made if there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
- If, in any year, two or more candidates qualify equally for the Prize, the
value of the Prize shall be divided equally amongst such candidates.
- The rules of the Prize may be varied from time to time by agreement between
Optimatics Pty. Ltd. and the Faculty of Engineering, Computer & Mathematical
Sciences.
