The Steel Reinforcement Institute of Australia Prize
The University having accepted the offer of The Steel Reinforcement Institute
of Australia (South Australian Branch) to establish an annual prize in the School
of Civil & Environmental Engineering to encourage and assist students to complete
a degree in Civil Engineering, the following rules are hereby made:
- The Prize shall be called "The Steel Reinforcement Institute of Australia
Prize" and shall be available for award each year.
- The Prize shall be of the value of $500 per annum, or such other amount as
shall be determined in association with the Steel Reinforcement Institute of Australia
(South Australian Branch)
- The Prize shall be awarded annually on the recommendation of the Head of the
School of Civil and Environmental Engineering to the student who obtains the best
result in the assessment of the Level III course C&ENVENG 3005 Structural
Design III (Concrete).
- No award shall be made if there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
- If, in any year, two or more candidates are of equal merit, the Prize shall
be divided equally amongst such candidates
- The rules of the Prize may be varied from time to time by agreement between
the Steel Reinforcement Institute of Australia (S.A. Branch) and the Faculty of
Engineering, Computer & Mathematical Sciences.
