The Stoneham Prize

Whereas the sum of $1,000 has been provided to the University by Mr Peter Fisher for the purpose of establishing an annual prize within the School of Mathematical Sciences, it is provided that:

1. The award shall be known as The Stoneham Prize.
2. The value of the award shall be $250 subject to the availability of funds.
3. The prize shall be awarded annually for the best poster produced by a second year postgraduate student as determined on the recommendation of the Head of School of Mathematical Sciences and the donor.
4. Where two or more candidates are deemed to be of equal merit, the prize shall be shared equally.
5. If in any year an award is not made, an additional award may be made in a subsequent year.
6. These rules may be varied by University from time to time, but the title and general purpose of the prize shall not be changed.
