About Computational EngineersWhat do Computational Engineers Do?Computational Engineering is a broad area that covers applications in science, engineering, mathematics and computer science. Computational Engineers will be influential in a myriad of fields, in particular in fields requiring complex solution to pressing engineering problems. Computational Engineers will play a crucial role in the engineering, design and maintenance of infrastructure that will provide solutions to global warming, and other social issues. Other applications a computational engineer may influence are the design of mines, constructions, defence equipment, aircraft, communication technologies, and much more. Throughout each of these applications the common theme of improvement and optimisation is significant and most relevant to the work of a computational engineer.
