Potential opportunities include: - Establish a Space Research and Education Centre aligned with the Australian Space Research Program, and Defence satellite programs.
- Partner with other Faculty research groups in a wind energy centre of expertise, with the group providing expertise on aerodynamics, noise, flow, control and structural health monitoring aspects, aligned with the Education Investment Fund (EIF), SA Premier’s Science and Research Fund (PSRF), state strategic plan, and vision for science, technology and innovation (STI10).
- Partner with other ECMS research groups on MAGIC robots, aligned with DSTO/DARPA.
- Partner with ASC (new submarines and Air Warfare Destroyer) in developing new technology for underwater acoustic signature management, aligned with projects such as the Capability and Technology Demonstrator (CTD) Program
- Mining automation, aligned with the Australian mining industry.
