Primary Schools Program
Primary teachers and their students to be part of the Schools Program in the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences that includes school visits, speciality talks and demonstrations aimed at raising awareness of the fun and fascinating worlds of engineering, mathematics and computer science.
This offer is extended to students from years 4-7 inclusive. If your school would like to participate in the Schools Program, you may request any or all of the following activities by completing the Booking Form.
Speciality Talks
Years 4-7
Have a world-renowned staff member present to your class on a specific topic or area of study. These presentations are fun and visually interesting. Topics are diverse and include some broad areas such as:
- What is quicksand?
- Duck fluidisation
- Formula SAE - How to build a racing car
South Australia's Virtual Reality Centre
Years 4-7
Come and visit the South Australian Partnership for Advanced Computing's world-class Virtual Reality Centre located at the University of Adelaide. This facility is available for bookings for up to 23 people to experience a 60 minute tour. See the amazing virtual reality and stereo 3D worlds of life sciences, futuristic architecture, flight simulations and more.
Cost: $100 per tour.
